Martin Keown believes Arsenal’s lack of a natural striker is the reason why they missed out on the Champions League after being eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.

Arsenal had to win in France after losing the first leg 1-0, but Mikel Arteta’s team could not turn things around and lost 2-1 on aggregate, making it 3-1, sending PSG to the final against Inter Milan. The Gunners
ended the season without a trophy again. This summer looks like another important period for the club after the team chose not to add a striker in the winter market, despite Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus being injured at the same time.
Keown pointed to this as the main reason why the team failed to reach their European dreams, saying: “We have to admit that PSG did really well. Hakimi was great. Arsenal have something to be proud of, returning to the Champions League for the second year and doing this well. But in the end, it reflects that we don’t have a center forward to use. Both are injured. “
“PSG are without Neymar, Messi, Mbappe, but the team is very well-rounded. I have never seen an attacking team that is so diligent in chasing the ball. Who can stop them? They are now the clear favorites to win the title. Credit to them.”
