Brazilian giants Flamengo are in the market for a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Jorginho ahead of the Club World Cup.

According to reports, they have been in serious talks with the 33-year-old after making an approach in December and are hoping to get a deal done as soon as possible so he can be registered for Flamengo’s opening game against Tunis on June 17.
Should they progress, Jorginho could face his former club Chelsea on June 20.
The Brazilian has only just recovered from a lung injury he suffered against Brentford last month and is currently building up his fitness.
He joined Arsenal from Chelsea for £12m in 2023.
Arsenal are looking to strengthen their midfield and are in advanced talks to sign Martin Zubimendi.
The Spain international from Real Sociedad would cost £60m this summer and have opened talks over a new deal for Thomas Partey.
